There are many ways to get a web presence such as do it yourself programs, templates that you can purchase, or you can have someone design something for you from scratch. There are advantages and disadvantages to each. One of the primary disadvantages to hiring a web design company is that most are not very affordable and offer features that are not really necessary. I charge $60 an hour for designing the site and for updates to the site. One of the reasons my prices are so reasonable is that I do not currently create animation or create database websites.
You might like to have the capability to edit the content on your site. There are several programs that allow you to do this and I am happy to help you design the site and then show you how to edit the content yourself. There are some limitations with the design elements of these type of sites, and some of the companies that host them charge a monthly fee, but the ability to edit the site yourself might be worth it. Here is an example of a site where the client came up with the basic concept of the sight, using a "do it yourself" website and I developed it further using my knowledge of web design. www.shigleycounselingcenter.com
I can also help you re-design an existing site and make it more search engine friendly. To see an example of a re-design go to www.dailymoneymanagement.com. I used basic elements of the previous design but converted the layout to a more search engine friendly format.
My goal is to help you to have a web presence that gives people visiting your site the information they need about your products or services and makes your information available to the millions of people searching the web every day.
Web hosting & management
I offer an inexpensive hosting service that can be purchased on it's own or as a part of a service package starting at $75 a year. So whether or not I design or manage your site, you can still get an affordable hosting service. Web Management can entail anything from occasionally uploading new documents and photos to making adjustments to an existing site.
My fees for web management vary according to the amount and frequency
of the work. Generally speaking. I charge $60 an hour but if I am making
frequent updates, we may agree on a monthly fee.
